Elite Equestrian Academy, Great Western Victoria is a multifaceted business that offers skill building sessions, incorporating outdoor activities in a peaceful farm setting.
Activities are based around the specific needs and goals of each individual, developing independence in daily living, while focusing on communication and social skills. Some of the activities include gardening, planting, fishing, property maintenance, caring for animals and gardens along with arts and crafts. Focusing on essential life skills, such as time management, problem solving and decision making. The benefits of spending time outdoors while participating in physical activities suited to each individual’s particular needs along with social interaction is at the forefront of each session. These sessions provide a wealth of benefits to individuals in both the long and short term.
Sessions start at 1 hour with maximum benefits regularly, either weekly or fortnightly at 2 hours per session. Full day and half day sessions can also be made, along with pick up and drop off locally included in funded time. Most sessions are conducted on the property however alternative venues can be prearranged depending on the clients goals and needs.
Pricing starts at $135.00 per hour.
We also provide STA/ respite 1:1 and 1:2 occasionally for individuals over 14 yrs of age upon request at our tranquil farm house/property setting in Great Western. These stays need to be organised and pre approved by plan managers in advance so that appropriate staffing can be organised and specific needs catered for. Fees are in line with NDIS STA/respite 2024

Sometimes, all it takes is being outside in amongst nature, the fresh air and participating in kinetic activity to enlighten our mood and creating a strong, positive mindset.
Bec Griffin our head facilitator, has been able to successfully help individuals through the symptoms and downfalls of PTSD and trauma recovery, with effective and life changing results. The criteria for who can benefit is not restrictive and people challenged with everything from cerebral palsy and autism, to drug and alcohol dependency through to social anxiety can experience healing with our programs.
Bec has been working with the NDIS for a number of years, facilitating outdoor sessions to those with disabilities and challenges with great success.
