COTTAGE EQUUS bnb/respite Country Retreat

Here at” Elite Equestrian Academy”, Great Western Vic we are proud to offer inhouse bnb/respite at our Country Retreat. We also have 2 separate cabins that will be available shortly.  We offer a secure, safe home setting for medium to low need individuals with both mental health and physical disabilities.  We are an independent STA service, this service can be included in NDIS plans which will enhance building life skills, community access experiences and opportunities, building independence and self confidence whilst in a supportive environment.

Our team has been providing Equine, Canine and outdoor Holistic Healing for many years and pride ourselves in providing a positive growth environment for individuals to blossom into their full potential.  We have expanded into Short Term Accomodation for our existing clients and new clients alike.

We want our guests to view “Cottage Equus” as their home away from home.  Our professional team are available 24 hours a day to provide support and assistance as individuals require, we understand that no two client’s needs and situations are the same.

STA’s (short term accommodation) start at a minimum of 2 nights and up to 14 days (some exceptions may be made).  Active overnight will need to be discussed and requirements can be met dependant on the individuals needs. Our pricing is inline with NDIS.  We aim to provide individuals with an inclusive family experience.  We provide opportunities for inclusion with everyday activities, such as cooking, gardening, feeding animals (friendly cats, dogs, horses along with various other farm animals).  We are in close vicinity to Halls Gap and the beautiful Grampians boasting scenic walks, local markets, Halls Gap Zoo, silo art, cafes and much more.

Accommodation: “Cottage Equus” bnb/respite Country Retreat is situated on just over 40 acres of beautiful rural land in Great Western.  There are numerous paddocks and laneways that provide sanctuary for many horses and ponies that love a pat and carrot with safe access for clients to view and interact with the animals.  Equine and Canine Holistic Healing sessions are our specialty and there is no better way to start or finish the day than with our pony or dog friends, or participating in guided meditation or relaxation time with a cuppa amongst horses.  Positioned around the property are comfortable viewing areas that allow our guests to watch the many horse and farm activities throughout the day.  We are pleased to share our lovely 4 bedroom plus study home, with large comfy bedrooms,  large lounge/entertaining areas and a large participant bathroom with spa.  The decked, undercover outside area that overlooks the property and its animal inhabitants boasts an impressive tranquil view.  We have an abundance of wildlife and stunning birdlife which enable us all to feel connected to nature and become grounded within the serenity. 

Our retreat allows carers/loved ones or individuals requiring extra care to take a break in our beautiful setting and home, ensuring quality care and a supportive environment.

Some of the activities we offer include Art Classes, Reiki, meditation, yoga, family board games, photography, scenic walks, gardening.  Excursions depend upon the individual and the package requirements, along with the timeframe of the booking.  Individuals may participate in as many or as little of the activities that they prefer.  We have 7 day full fee cancelation policy.

STA Includes:
